Compassion Closet: Clothing distribution at Feeding Friends and Family
Compassion Closet gives new or gently used clothes to our neighbors in need downtown.
Our closet is in need of children’s clothes for back-to-school!
We need volunteers when the Closet is open to assist guest with finding clothing. We also pack a food bag for them from our Compassion Pantry. Tues & Thurs from 9:30 – 11.
You can drop by Mission Headquarters at the church to sort clothes each Tues/Thurs morning from 9-11am. You can also volunteer to work on Saturdays (2nd and 4th Saturdays 9:30-11am in the Parlor) and Thursdays (3rd and 5th at 4pm) for clothing distribution.
NEW! Lunch Bunch is now Brunch Bunch! This summer we are collecting and packing sacks for neighborhood kids in partnership with La Tiendita. We will pack 30/week. Here are the items needed: fruit cups, peanut butter crackers, individual cereal (cups or bags), oatmeal (pouches or cups), meat sticks (like Slim Jims), mini muffins (individual bags), granola bars, and shelf stable milk boxes (like Horizon). Drop items off at the church any time and Brunch Bunch will assemble the sacks.
You can help pack the sacks on Wednesdays at 11 in the Conference Room. Or click here to make a financial donation and we will purchase boxed milk, sacks, and extra food! Email Caitlin for more information.
Lunch Bunch started as lunches for our unsheltered friends, and it still makes lunches and supports MEOWS.
Race for Grace
This is the annual summer fundraiser for Grace Children’s Hospital in Haiti. There are several ways to participate: Riding in the Hotter N Hell bike race in Wichita Falls, joining Children’s Ministry in their walk with Ms. Cheridy and the pastors, or creating your own activity!

Walk and ride in Downtown McKinney with Pastor Tommy, Pastor Courtney, and Ms. Cheridy! Join us at the church at 8:30 am August 29. We’ll walk, bike, scooter, or skate to Finch Park and back.

Want to support our walkers and riders?
Click here to give for Pastor Tommy and Pastor Courtney’s walking team, or click here to give for Kids Riding for Kids. Donations all go to the same good cause, it’s just a friendly fundraising competition between our pastors and our children’s ministry!
English as a Second Language Ministry
Our church offers ESL classes! We have helped hundreds of English language learners from dozens of different countries develop valuable communication skills. You don’t need teaching experience or knowledge of languages to help. Just a willing spirit and free time on Wednesday nights. Caldwell First Day Welcome Squad
Every year we greet students, family, teachers, and staff on the first day of school. Want to help? Contact Pam for info. The first day is August 13th.
