NEW COLLABORATION: Meal Kits x Lunch Bunch!
We are collecting meal kits and snack sacks to distribute to the kids and families at Lawson Early Childhood Center (McKinney ISD’s Head Start and pre-k) and La Tiendita (serves the families near Webb Elementary). Each week, we will deliver family meal kits and snack sacks for the kids for these partners to distribute.
Our Lunch Bunch volunteers will pack the snack sacks and match recipe cards with the Meal Kits! (see info below). Don’t feel like you need to print anything.
Here is the shopping list (there is a printed version at church). Shop for a meal or more! Ziplock baggies and recipe cards are at the table at the church when you return the kit.
Each week we pack and distribute food for our neighbors in McKinney. Lunch Bunch started as lunches for our unsheltered friends, and it still makes lunches and supports MEOWS (info below).
NEW COLLABORATION! Lunch Bunch is collecting Snack Sacks to go with the meal kits we distribute to kids and families. Here are the items needed: fruit cups, individual bags of chips, individual desserts, peanut butter crackers. Drop items off at the Meal Kit table in the hallway and Lunch Bunch will assemble the sacks.

Compassion Closet: Clothing distribution at Feeding Friends and Family
Compassion Closet gives new or gently used clothes to our neighbors in need downtown.
Our closet is in need of men’s casual clothes.
We also need kid and teen clothing and shoes.
We need volunteers when the Closet is open to assist guest with finding clothing. We also pack a food bag for them from our Compassion Pantry. Tues & Thurs from 9:30 – 11.
You can drop by Mission Headquarters at the church to sort clothes each Tues/Thurs morning from 9-11am. You can also volunteer to work on Saturdays (2nd and 4th Saturdays 9:30-11am in the Parlor) and Thursdays (3rd and 5th at 4pm) for clothing distribution.
English as a Second Language Ministry
Our church offers ESL classes! We have helped hundreds of English language learners from dozens of different countries develop valuable communication skills. You don’t need teaching experience or knowledge of languages to help. Just a willing spirit and free time on Wednesday nights.
