Our special needs ministry strives to provide a supportive, loving, and safe environment for preschoolers through adolescents with special needs. We want everyone to be able to participate in any event the church offers! You can be a HEART Helper! We especially need volunteers for Vacation Bible School! Email Ms. Becky to learn more. Lunch Bunch packs lunches each week for our unsheltered friends. They need donations of food items to prepare the meals. We have created a sign up form with needs for each month. SIGN UP HERE to bring items. You can email Caitlin with any questions.
Compassion Closet: Clothing distribution at Feeding Friends and Family
We have some current needs:
-Gently used or new clothes for babies, kids, and adults.
-Gently used or new shoes for kids and adults.
-New socks and underwear for kids and adults.
Please no household items – we can only distribute clothing and have limited storage.
You can drop by Mission Headquarters at the church to sort clothes any time the office is open. You can also volunteer to work on Saturdays.
GATEWAY MINISTRY NEEDS VOLUNTEERS*! This dynamic ministry needs volunteers who could dedicate two hours each month to offer fellowship and fun programming for young adults with special needs.
Volunteers assist in these ways:
· Help provide a meal for the group
· Help serve the meal and assist members to make choices
· Help members enjoy the activity and assist them through any challenges they may have
· Laugh with, visit with, and have a great time with these young adults!
*any experience in educating or assisting children or adults with special needs is perfect , but not required!
Introducing One-Day Missions! These are opportunities that you can do in one day! Please check the missions to make sure you have completed any registrations in advance.
Community Garden Kitchen. We are excited to continue volunteering with Community Garden Kitchen. They are an amazing group that prepares and serves healthy meals daily. YOU WILL NEED A BACKGROUND CHECK before you volunteer. Please complete the CGK volunteer application and background check before your group can be scheduled.
