We are excited to kick off the new year with renewal, inspiration, and a spirit of covenant at The Horizon Texas Conference. Join us for an uplifting and interactive Zoom event led by Hesha Abrams, Esq., an internationally acclaimed mediator, negotiator, speaker, and author. She will guide us in finding the sacred calm in our lives.

The Christlike Mindfulness Class invites you to two new studies, Sundays at 11 am in Room B205 and via Zoom.
Introduction to the Enneagram beginning January 19
We will be using EnneApp to learn the nine basic personality types and their relationships to one another.
“Christian Meditation – Experiencing the Presence of God” beginning February 9
We will work through a book by James Finley, a former monk who presents the fundamentals of both understanding and practicing Christian meditation.

Each week we pack and distribute 20 lunches for our unsheltered neighbors in downtown McKinney. You can help in several ways! The easiest (and most needed way) is to sign up to purchase food. CLICK HERE for the sign up. Bring the food to the church ASAP to be packed. You can also help pack the lunches on Wednesdays at 11:30 in the Conference Room. Donations can also be made with “homeless” as the memo to go toward the purchase of Gatorades, sacks, etc. Email Caitlin for more information.

Volunteer for the McKINNEY EMERGENCY OVERNIGHT WARMING STATION (M.E.O.W.S.)
Together with local churches and Emmanuel Labor, we are helping to shelter our unhoused friends during severe weather. There are several ways you can serve. We are helping to provide and serve dinner. You can also help with other teams (prep, welcome, overnight, etc).

We’re a special stop on the Holiday Tour of Homes! This is a great way to share the heart of Christ from the heart of McKinney. There will be hundreds of visitors who stop by to see our historic sanctuary and learn about our church. Would you like to help? We have several needs: greeters, docents, decoration team, and more.

Paul and his team operate a free service throughout DFW to families to assist them with selecting the appropriate senior living option and property based on individual needs, personality, and financial situation. Senior Living Specialists advise clients not only on which options to look at, they also provide questions to ask, and the pitfalls to avoid.
This seminar is free of cost and open to anyone interested and needs information on resources for aging parents or relatives in the community. No preparation is required for this event.
