It’s summer! That means pool parties and cool afternoons at the movies, shopping at the farmers market and taking family vacations. And of course, lots of great activities at First United Methodist McKinney!

• July 26: Christmas in July. Special worship with Christmas carols and stories, and unique ways to support missions and ministries.

• June 2 Young Adult Group! Tuesdays at 6:30 at The Hub. Come together for a shared meal, scripture reading and conversation, and time for hanging out and table games. Make connections and grow in your faith! For more info, email Duncan Pratt.
• June 2 Blessed Journey: Aging with grace, living life fully, dying with hope. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 10am in room E215. For more information, please email Roger.
• June 2-4 Messy Art Preschool Camp! 9am-12pm for all kids ages 3 years (by September 1, 2026) through incoming Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. Snack will be provided, and children must be potty-trained. Join us for a fun week of play & learning! Register here.

• June 5 Youth Friday Movie Club: youth meet for food and a summer show
• June 7 McKinney Pride: volunteer to work our table. Email Kathy if you want to volunteer.
• June 8 Quilters: room 225 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a sack lunch, sewing machine, and a project.

• June 10 Sole Sisters: Sole Sisters will meet for lunch on Wednesday, June 10 at 12:30 p.m. at Bonefish Grill in the Villages at Allen. Sole sisters is for ladies living solo who meet monthly for food and friendship.
• June 11 Gateway: a ministry for adults in our community living with mental and/or physical challenges. This group comes together for friends, fellowship, and faith. Meets at The Hub from 6-8pm.
• June 12 Art Show: Rosie Jones is a church member and stained glass artist. She is taking advantage of her first solo show at the Cove to incorporate fundraising for GRACE children’s hospital. She is offering four stained glass crosses for sale with all proceeds going to Grace. She is inviting all to come and enjoy the show and participate in the fund raising for Grace Children’s Hospital. The Cove address is 402 N. Tennessee and is near the corner of Lamar and Tennessee, with parking across the street on the City of McKinney lot. 6-9pm.

• June 7-12 Youth Mission Trip (registration is closed.) Please pray for this group and the time spent in mission!
• June 14 John Bush Retirement Reception: say thanks and goodbye to our amazing choir director and organist. A special commissioned piece will be shared in worship. Reception at The Hub after the 11:10 services.

• June 15-18 Vacation Bible School Volunteers. We need all kinds of helpers! Do you like art? Snacks? Telling stories? Taking pictures? Being a crossing guard? Being a friend? • June 15 – 18 Sports Camp: 6/15-6/18 from noon to 4pm (week of VBS). Ages 5-12. A multi-sport camp consisting of fun games (this camp is done by Triumph Sports and is not affiliated with the church). Register here.
