New and Upcoming

New classes and Bible studies. Great volunteer opportunities.  Ways to respond to community needs.  When something new is coming to First Methodist, you’ll find it posted here.

Or, if you’d rather the news come to you, sign up for our newsletter here.  If you have something you’d like announced or publicized, email Caitlin.

Next Steps!

Sunday, May 22, 11 am to noon in the Parlor

Are you new here? Or maybe you’ve attended for a long time and are looking for your next steps?

Learn about who we are as a church, our history and ministries, and how you can connect. We’ll show you around with a virtual tour. Bring your questions! All are welcome!

And, if you have been thinking about joining the church, we will offer an opportunity to take the membership vows at the end for those who are interested. For more information about joining, you may visit sharingtheheart.org/join or contact Patty@sharingtheheart.org.

New Giving Portal

New and Improved Giving Portal!
You may have noticed that we began phasing in a new giving portal recently. It will make it easier to give to multiple areas in one transaction (like a special mission gift and your tithe). It works like an online shopping cart where you add items and then checkout.

NOTE: If you had an account on our old giving platform, you will need a new account to log into our new portal. You will get a letter with more instructions about your old account. In the meanwhile, please email Caitlin if you have any questions.

Help Ukraine

First Methodist McKinney is proud to work with the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). The humanitarian aid arm of the United Methodist Church, UMCOR is there to provide relief when war, storms, and natural disasters strike anywhere on the globe. Because your normal giving supports the operating budget of UMCOR, 100 percent of your special gift today will go directly to people and communities in crisis. Currently, our UMCOR giving is focused on the victims and refugees of the war in Ukraine.
