Welcome to First United Methodist Church of McKinney!

Thank you for your interest in First United Methodist Church in McKinney! Sharing the heart of Christ from the heart of McKinney describes the spirit of our church. We want you to feel welcome and at home when you walk through our doors. The beauty of our church is comforting and inviting. The congregation is over 150 years old and the sanctuary of the church, where our traditional service is held, is over 100 years old.

To compliment our three traditional services, we also offer a fantastic contemporary service in Dyer Hall with our incredible Praise Band. If you would like to attend Wednesday evening worship, we also have a 6:30pm service in our charming Chapel. We have something for everyone and that’s what makes us unique! When you arrive, there are many opportunities to make you feel at home. If you have small children, we have a wonderful nursery where you can drop off your child with skilled workers who are doing what they love. You can also receive a pager when you drop off your little one to help you feel connected to your child while you worship.

We have exceptional programs for both our children and youth. Most recently, the youth program was nominated as the Best Youth Program in McKinney! We also offer a variety of adult Sunday school classes for all ages and walks of life! Outside of Sunday morning worship, we have a variety of exciting ministries, classes, opportunities for bible study, and fun-filled church events. The fellowship at First United is amazing, and there really is something for everyone! We truly want to welcome you to our church family, and would love to have you visit one of our worship services.
