Each year the United Methodist Women at First United Methodist Church, McKinney offer a scholarship to an entering college freshman or a prior recipient from our church. The funds for this scholarship come from UMW activities held each year to raise money for mission work. Since the youth of this church have been so helpful in this successful endeavor, we offer this scholarship in appreciation. The scholarship money will be sent directly to your college or university.
Criteria for this scholarship include:
- Service to the Church
- Financial need
- Student essay
- References
