Gateway

Gateway provides a monthly social activity for teens and adults who are mentally and/or physically disabled. We meet on the second Thursday of every month, from 6 to 8 pm at the church, unless otherwise notified.

July Jubilee

Each July, we participate in this mission project with local Community In Schools offices.  First Church members adopt students from one of the local schools to provide them with school supplies and a new outfit to start the school year.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Caring & Sharing from the Heart is First Church's prayer shawl ministry. We join the many hands around the world that are knitting and/or crocheting shawls to be given for comfort in God’s name. The shawls that are created are blessed and then given to those of our congregation who are shut-ins, dealing with health issues, undergoing medical procedures and the list goes on and on. Anyone who wishes to be a part of this ministry is welcome. Even beginners can create shawls.

Meetings where prayer shawls are worked on are held the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in room E205. Beginners are welcome to come and learn. An evening meeting will be added as the demand requires. Come join us in this opportunity to serve using our hands and hearts.
