Prayer shawls not only provide physical and spiritual warmth and comfort to those in need, they also keep the creator's hands busy as well! In particular, shawls are often given to those undergoing medical procedures or those needing comfort after a loss or in times of stress. The prayer shawl team has given over 400 shawls since their beginning in January 2007, to church members, their families and friends. Some shawls have been mailed across the country and even out of the country.
This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in the Conference Room (B100). We welcome anyone who would like to join us in creating shawls. Shawls are given free of charge. Each one is blessed by a minister, Bible study or Sunday school class. Please let us know if you or someone you know would benefit from a prayer shawl.
