God designed each of us with talents, strengths and gifts. We believe that each member is called to serve by God. It is our wish to have every member experience the joy of finding a place to serve.
Ushers
Welcome, greet and assist people during worship. Prepare the sanctuary or Dyer Hall (for Wellspring service) for the service, attend to worship needs, and clean up and straighten afterward.
Greeter
Welcome members and visitors, give assistance and escort as needed.
Information Desk (Sunday mornings)
Answer phone, assist people, provide information and help with new members.
Golf Cart Drivers (Sunday mornings)
Drive people between parking lots and the church.
Bereavement Hospitality Team
The main focus of this ministry is to provide support for small groups and Sunday school classes when they are called upon to help with a bereavement meal or to provide bereavement meals for family members who are not connected with a Sunday school class or other small group. Gateway
Gateway provides a monthly social activity for teens and adults who are mentally and/or physically disabled. We meet on the second Thursday of every month, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church, unless otherwise notified. Contact the church for more information.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Caring & Sharing from the Heart is FUMC's prayer shawl ministry. We join the many hands around the world that are knitting and/or crocheting shawls to be given for comfort in God’s name. Learn more about this ministry by clicking

Scouts
First United Methodist Church of McKinney has sponsored Boy Scout Troop 303 since 1927. Through scouting, we extend mission of the church to young men of McKinney through service projects and the principles of scouting. We also open our church to Girl and Cub Scout troops.
