We finished our three houses today! We give thanks to the Lord for the families we have helped and for the work that was accomplished. Roofs are finished, floors are poured and families are making preparations to move in. We were also blessed to present the dishes and cookware that the children collected. Each family was given a good supply of dishes, cups, flatware and cookware, and they were really grateful.
This evening we attended church at the Iglesia Nuevo Pacto. It was a joy to be singing God's praises in Spanish and English, and to hear God's Word proclaimed as well. Tom Pence introduced our church to the congregation. Can you believe that this is our 7th year to come to Juarez with Proyecto Abrigo? It is also amazing that our church has been taking trips to Juarez for at least 12 years. What a great work has been done hear, sharing the heart of Christ from the heart of McKinney!
Tomorrow, we are going to help lay the foundation for a new dormatory and work around the new church that is being built. We are going back to the neighborhood in which we worked last year, so we are also hoping to run into some of our old friends. Tomorrow is also market day, so those of you who sent a lot of money with your kid or spouse can expect some great new home decorations. Now where am I going to hang this Velvet Elvis?
