Our Mission

Credo is an adult class for parents of children participating in the current year's Confirmation Class. This group follows in an adult group format the same topics on the same schedule that their child in Confirmation is studying. Credo's mission is to support the Confirmation experience in our children's lives, to engage the process of learning and growing as disciples ourselves, and to strengthen our families as we grow spiritually together.

Who We Are

We are parents of this year's Confirmation students. We have some diversity in age and much diversity in background. No experience with church or with Bible study is necessary to join the Credo family. Some have grown up at FUMC, some are experiencing the life of a church for the first time, and many are somewhere in between!

Current Study

This class follows the same schedule as the children's Confirmation class. The same topics are covered each week, but in an adult discussion format. In addition to learning and growing ourselves as Christians and as parents, one of the benefits of this opportunity is the ability to develop discussion points that engage our families in conversation around what the Confirmation students are learning.
