Career Support Ministry

Career Support Ministry provides weekly job support meetings each Friday morning in Room B100 (Conference Room) at 9:00 am. Coffee is provided.

The meetings will not only offer the spiritual support needed in a successful job search, but will also provide structure and career advice to help those seeking new employment move forward in finding the next opportunity.

Research has shown that people who participate in a weekly job-search-accountability group find meaningful work in half the time of those who do not engage in this type of activity.  As a result, the new format of the weekly meetings will include actions that provide productivity, support and increase results for those in job search.

The concept of the new career support meetings includes the following objectives:

  •  Weekly meetings utilizing on-going project management strategies in finding employment
  • Format based on scientific results held in a Christian environment
  • Higher productivity = Quicker placement
  • You are not alone in your job search – you have the support of the team
  • Team acts as an advisory board, core network and work group for each other

In addition to the weekly accountability meetings, the Career Support Ministry also sponsors job-search related workshops each second Sunday of the month from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Dates are subject to change due to holidays – please check the church calendar.
