Be a Mentor

Training for NEW mentors will be held on September 26, 2010 at 11:00 am in the church Parlor. This training is for anyone who has not mentored before but would like to this year. Contact Marion Miller at miller.marion@sbcglobal.net or 972-540-1655. Other times are available if needed.
Be a Tutor
Tutors are needed in reading or math for students in the third, fourth and fifth grades. Tutoring can be done during school hours or after school from 4:00-5:00 pm. In helping prepare students for the TAKS test you can use prepared materials. No teaching experience is necessary. Special Needs
Opportunities for one-time special needs are frequently immediate. The most recent request if for cutting games and materials to be used in tutoring. Requests are not only for daytime opportunities. For example, there is a need for one and a half to two inch three-ring binders. They do not need to be new, perhaps the office where you work can donate.
