Current Study
We study various topics using books and films as source material. A recent study was based on Why Faith Matters, a book by Rabbi David J. Wolpe. The book jacket states, “Why Faith Matters is an articulate defense of religion in America. It makes the case for faith and shows its relationship to history and science…. In a poignant response to the new atheists, Wolpe takes readers through the origins and nature of faith, the role of the Bible in modern life, and the compatibility of God and science.” We have also viewed and discussed Religuous, the thought provoking documentary put together by Bill Maher on religion.
