Since 1851, First United Methodist Church has served McKinney and the surrounding community. While most congregations established in the historic downtown district have left the area, First Church has chosen to maintain their firm foundations in the heart of McKinney and is committed to serving the entire area, not just one small part. Our mission as a church family is, “To share the heart of Christ from the heart of McKinney.” We strive to accomplish that mission by emphasizing three areas of participation in the life of First Church: Connecting, Growing, and Serving.

That’s why we have a variety of classes and discipleship options. That’s why our small groups meet on different days, times, and locations while studying varied subjects.
